Walk and Wonder: Compassion!
Ana Maria from Move and Bloom I love life experiments!
A couple months ago we expressed how nourishing it felt to both of us to have organic, fluid conversations about the “real stuff” of life, work and everything in between. Because we know others are interested in impromptu and spontaneous real conversations too, we thought- why not record our chats, and let others listen along?
“Walk and Wonder” was born!
I am working on getting our chats on my web site, in a way that’s easy to share.
In the meantime, here’s a fun snippet that Ana Maria created, that is summarized by Claude Monet, “People discuss my art and pretend to understand as if it were necessary to understand, when it’s simply necessary to love,” and is something Sonya Marie Taylor talks about in her book The Body is Not An Apology.
When I imagine what it might be like for us to have empathy without understanding, my heart gets warm, and I feel hope. Enjoy our musings!
PS, if you have a topic that you’d like us to muse on, please let me know!
